Almost everyone has gotten their cellphone wet at one time or another. How many of you have accidentally dropped you cellphone in the swimming pool, sink, or even the toilet. There is no need to panic if this happens to you. Your phone can be saved if you act quickly!
-
Act Rapidly! Remove all detachable parts. Including all covers, battery, SIM card, memory card, etc.
-
Take a piece of cloth or a tissue and wipe the excess water you are able to notice within the phone. Be sure to dry it thoroughly, if not the water will gather in hard to reach places.
-
Take a hairdryer and on the lowest setting about 2 feet from the phone dry out the inside of the phone. Pay careful attention to the area where the battery sits. Usually there are tiny holes for the battery to breathe with that leaves more area for water to go. Continue this for 15-20 minutes.
-
Finally set the pieced apart phone in a bowl of white rice. The rice will absorb the remaining water. After about 24 hours you can put it all back together again.
